So thankful to have been present as they welcomed her into the world and loved capturing their first family portraits in hospital and a few weeks after birth. This family has been clients of mine from the beginning and I’ve loved watching their family grow.
The perfect addition to their family. Sweet baby girl did amazing for her newborn session. I love to schedule newborn sessions around 2 to 3 weeks old. This helps baby adjust to outside environment and get into good sleeping habits. I also provide a wonderful prep guide and questionnaire to our mamas once baby arrives, this truly helps round out what to expect for their session.
Our prep guide and questionnaire also allows us to give pro-tips for a successful session and sleepy baby. We always want baby comfortable and cozy during the whole experience. Our questionnaire gives mamas a chance to help us design and style their session to ensure the images we provide will be proudly displayed within their homes.
It’s her last portrait session from the “baby’s first year” package. It’s bittersweet to see it come to an end I couldn’t be more grateful to have such a wonderful family to work with. Happy 1st birthday baby girl!

Let’s chat a bit! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve blogged so it’s time for a good refresh! Thank you so much for being here!
Today I thought it’d be important to chat about Milestones. What do you think of when you think of your baby’s first year?
I mean obviously we all think about their first smile, their first mama or dada, their first food, their first steps. And thankfully because of cell phones we are able to capture all those memories of our children, whether in photo or video form.
My goal as your photographer is to provide an experience to capture these milestones. Those squishy rolls when they are a few weeks old, that first little grin or laughter or them standing for the first time, and then that little nose scrunch when they think something is really funny.
One day those rolls will no longer exist. That bald head will be full of locks of hair. And those pretty blue eyes may transition to brown or hazel. I want to capture all these fleeting moments for you.
I also want to capture you and your family. They grow so quickly and we change ever so quickly with them. Regardless if I am 20 lbs heavier than I want to be I always include myself in my child’s milestone photos. It’s important for your children to see that you are included, because they love you.
I’d love to chat more with you. Whether they are still baking in your belly or even 6 months old already, let’s begin the journey together. I want to capture these special memories for you so you can cherish them for a lifetime.
Sweet little Thompson came to celebrate turning 1 in style, Lumberjack style. From buffalo plaid to a log shaped cake we made sure his celebration was fully styled! He had a blast and really loved smashing the cake.
